Data Driven Story telling

Transcript
Hi, my name’s Makenna hadden, and today I’ll be discussing Lacrosse participation between gender and level of play for my data analysis project. The data I will be analyzing was concluded during a study by Aaron Michael Randolph. He conducted a study about Lacrosse strength and conditioning, but he also discussed Lacrosse participation between gender and level of play, which I will be discussing. The data concludes that in 2010 more boys participated than girls in youth programs, high school, college, professional and post collegiate. The total number of people in the study was 624,593 with 379,614 being boys and 244,979 being girls.
Data
The data I used for this project was data comparing lacrosse participation by gender and level of play. I got my data from ProQuest. The data discussed how more boys participate in lacrosse than girls, along with the total number of participants.
Audio
I chose to create a short audio discussing this topic because I wanted to explain to listeners how the data was taken and what exactly it means. My audio supports my data because I discuss exactly what the data concludes.
Equipment and Audio
I chose to use my computer audio recorder called “simple recorder” to record this project because it was simple and easy to use. To brainstorm the media I wanted in my audio I wrote down a checklist of what I needed to include. I used the site Podcastle to edit my audio and add the copy right free music into my audio.
