To record this audio I used the app simple recorder. It was very simple to use because it is an app through Apple. I used AI to help with my outline and speaking notes for this project. I also used the site Veed to put all my recorded clips together.

I used a song called Discipline from the website Artist. This site was easy to use and copy right free. Another site I used to help me and gave me tips on how to produce a good recording was this website called 9 tips for improving audio quality of recoding. Along with that site, I also used Otter.ai to help me create a transcript for my audio.

“Hello everyone. My name is Makenna hadden, and today I’ll be talking about the importance of sports on campus, I attend Mary Washington University, and I am a sophomore. I also am a part of the women’s lacrosse team. So Mary Washington is a small college in Northern Virginia, and I would say about a little under 50% of their students play sports at Mary Washington. Some sports offered are lacrosse, rugby, swimming, tennis, field hockey, soccer, etc. We also have club teams, we have intramural we have varsity on campus. Sports do hold a great impact on the community. A lot of people do come out and support sports teams. Go to our games. It’s a really big part of campus. I would say the challenges faced by student athletes can be difficult with the balance of schoolwork and playing a full time sport, but University of Mary Washington does do a good job of holding us to a higher standard and helping us balance that out. So right now, I just want to share a quick clip of what one of my practices sound like at Mary Washington, as you can tell, very chaotic, but it does show the camaraderie of the sport and what it’s like to be on the field for a team sport. I also want to just include a little bit that the sports teams at Mary Washington are very inclusive, and we hold a lot of great value to our school. So here’s just the ending clip of this to conclude it. And thank you so much.”
